Our Day in Ljubljana: Exploring the City by the River Together

We visited Ljubljana Castle on Castle Hill, a historical defense structure that later served as the seat of Carniola’s lords. The Castle Chapel of St. George, originally Gothic, underwent a Baroque restyling in 1747. It showcased images of shields representing governors and Habsburg princes, all inscribed in German. Later, a serene boat tour along the Ljubljanica River offered views of iconic bridges like the Dragon Bridge and the love-lock adorned Butcher’s Bridge, while the peaceful presence of swans and ducks added to the ambiance.
